Set up in 1980, we’ve grown to become one of the UK’s leading suppliers of double-glazed and triple-glazed insulated glazed units.

Today part of the Emplas Group, we operate from a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Lancashire serving fabricators and installers, nationwide.

We supply the complete SGG Planitherm and Planitherm Plus ranges. Developed for the residential sector, this includes Energy Standard, Comfort and Comfort Plus options.

Accreditations

All IGU’s manufactured by Padiham Glass are CE marked and meet and exceed requirements set out in BS EN1279 and BSEN12150. We also offer complete supply chain transparency with bar-code tracking.

1980s and early 1990s

Significant growth. Developing increasing specialism as a trade double glazed unit manufacturer

1996

Following a decade of major growth, we commissioned our first toughening plant.

2004

Construction of purpose built 35,000 sq ft manufacturing facility increasing warehousing, introducing a new automated IGU line and second glass toughening plant.

2005

Construction of a 10,000 sq ft extension to house an automated double-glazed unit line with robotic warm-edge spacer-bar applicator

2018

We were acquired by the Emplas Group of companies in May 2018

2019

Major invest programme including new software integrations, a new automatic sealing robot, plus handling equipment.

2022

Our programme investment continued in late 2022 with the delivery of a new and highly automated Forel vertical IGU line, increasing capacity while also further enhancing capacity.
